The ‘Warrior Gene’: The Next Big Excuse?

In a new study published in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences Monoamine oxidase A, nicknamed the ‘Warrior Gene’, has been found to be an inherited trait that makes individuals more susceptible to show violent behavior. Monoamine oxidase A is an enzyme that breaks down important neurotransmitters in the brain, including dopamine, norepinephrine, and serotonin. The enzyme is regulated by monoamine oxidase A gene (MAOA). While we all have this enzyme it’s the activity level that is being attributed to the violent behavior.

Upon the request of Manny Pacquiao, and made because Mayweather sustained a rib injury that has indefinitely postponed his upcoming fight, Arum will “try to conclude an agreement on Monday with the Cotto people”.
The fight looks to be scheduled for this November. While the Pacquiao camp was looking at a Mayweather fight as Pacquiao’s next bout the rib injury Mayweather suffered “means Manny couldn’t possibly fight Mayweather until sometime next year,” says Arum.
Cotto is handled by Arum as well so the fight is basically in the bag.

The NBA is maddening.
As a fan of any team you will see plays that you believe should or shouldn’t have been called. When it comes to players safety the NBA has made a huge effort to stop the kinds of plays where players can get seriously hurt, or have they? With this new decision by the NBA to not suspend Pietrus for game 5 of the NBA Finals, a move that would definitely seal Orlando’s fate, they have proven once again that they care more about the entertainment side of …

Arum Tells Mayweather to Stop

In an effort to increase what Pacquiao would receive if a fight between Pac-Man and Mayweather were to happen Arum has told Mayweather to stop asking for the higher cut of the money.
“If Mayweather persists with this position, a fight will never happen,” Arum told Setanta Sports News. “Mayweather is taking the position that unless he gets more money, there will never be a fight – that’s absurd. Manny is the most sought-after boxer on the planet.”
Obviously it is true, everyone and their mother wants a shot at Pacquiao. Unfortunately …

Dear Mr. Referee,
Please start calling the games fairly! And no I’m not talking about calling the game so both teams go to the line the same amount of times but rather calling a foul a foul on both ends of the court. I have no issue with physical games however if it is going to be physical on one side of the floor understand it will be physical on the other. Consistency is key.
